In helping spread awareness for Breast Cancer, I am taking part in this project, Pink for October. I encourage anyone and everyone to do the same. I’m not 100-percent done with my layout, but this is it so far. Done!
Some facts about Breast Cancer:
- One in eight women or 12.6 percent of all women will get breast cancer in her lifetime.
- Every 13 minutes a woman dies of breast cancer.
- The first sign of breast cancer usually shows up on a woman’s mammogram before it can be felt or any other symptoms are present.
- Early detection of breast cancer, through monthly breast self-exam and particularly yearly mammography after age 40, offers the best chance for survival.
- You are never too young to develop breast cancer! Breast Self-Exam should begin by the age of twenty.
Remember, women are not the only ones who can develop breast cancer. Men can, too.
- In the United States, male breast cancer accounts for 1% of cases of breast cancer, and it represents about 0.2% of all malignancies in men.
- This rare cancer most often occurs in men over the age of 60.
- Having several members of the family with cancer of the ovary or colon may also increase a man’s risk of developing breast cancer.

It feels great to see so many bloggers participating in the Breast Cancer Awareness month! :)
Besides going pink, I will also try to spread the awareness on breast cancer throughout the month.

@ Aronil
I know. After 10 minutes on working with unfinished content, my eyes started to strain. So, I darkened the text. Let me know if it’s still light.
